Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 (dependent on experience) + package
Location: Glasgow or Birmingham (Hybrid)
Type: Permanent
About the Role:
Our client is seeking Senior Civil Engineers to join their dynamic UK design team. You'll take a lead role in delivering civil design projects for the water industry, working on multidisciplinary teams. Duties include:
Leading projects or work packages and mentoring junior staff.
Conducting site visits, report writing, and producing design drawings and calculations.
Supporting health and safety initiatives and delivering at all project stages, from feasibility to commissioning.
This role supports the expanding water utilities portfolio, including both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review design concepts, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
Support resource and budget management for projects.
Prepare feasibility studies, assessment reports, and technical documents.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications: A relevant degree, ideally with professional qualifications (or equivalent experience).
Technical Expertise: Strong background in water/wastewater infrastructure design, with familiarity with tools like AutoCAD.
