What will you be doing?
As an NDT Engineer for BES Testing, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of NDT inspections to ensure compliance with statutory and/or legislative requirements. The successful candidate will join a nationwide team with a base in Salford.
You will:
Carry out and tests and inspections in breweries, manufacturing plants and other various heavy industries
Interpret and evaluate test results
Carry out all relevant equipment checks and calibrations
Work to international standards ensuring requirements within them are met
Collecting, collating and reporting with sketches, where applicable, the result of the NDT examination
Present reports containing all relevant information in a factual, comprehensive and unambiguous manner
Maintain all records, standards, procedures, notes and log books in an orderly, efficient manner and have them for UKAS audit
Utilise different pieces of technology and software to carry out reports and other documentation
As part of our team, you will get:
A starting salary of £42,500 depending on experience
£5,500 annual car cash allowance

To be join our team, you will need:
Minimum PCN Level 2 in UT, Dye Pen and MPI
Experience in PAUT, Eddy Current or Forgings is desirable
Experience of testing various weld geometries across a wide range of equipment and industries
The ability to use your initiative whilst working on site and maintain the highest level of H&S awareness
The ability to communicate technical problems and be comfortable client facing
To be comfortable and able to work at heights and in confined spaces
A good level of IT and literacy skills in order to complete detailed customer reports
