EC&I Engineer
Location: Capenhurst
Duartion: 12 month
Rate: £50-£60 per hour

We're pleased to present the opportunity to join Urenco as an EC&I Engineer. Based at our Capenhurst site location, you'll provide discipline-specific engineering services within the UUK Engineering & Projects department to ensure the delivery of safe, cost-effective engineering solutions.
This particular position presents an exciting opportunity to help us achieve our ambitious Net Zero goals. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers who support our enrichment plants, but with a focus on delivery of a programme of works to reduce our carbon footprint. You will act as the key facility interface for the Net Zero programme, working alongside the project's delivery team, as well as delivering work packages within your discipline area. You will also work closely with other team members to deliver energy saving improvements across our facilities to help improve the sustainability of our operations.

What will your day look like?
Producing high quality engineering deliverables to cost and schedule which comply with UUK design procedures, relevant codes and standards, and nuclear site license requirements.
Providing routine progress updates and specialist technical input to a variety of forums as required.
Identifying technical solutions to support delivery of the Net Zero and Energy saving targets.
Planning and delivering work packages to support achievement of set goals
Producing appropriate specifications for contractors and manage their delivery.
Overseeing activities and deliverables from contractors, to ensure work is carried out to specification, on time and compliant with UUK procedures
Undertaking commissioning activities when required and authorised to do so.
Working with various teams on site including engineering, projects, operations and maintenance to support delivery of packages of work.
Actively manage and record CPD from on-the-job training and any external learning, in order to provide robust evidence for professional registration/membership and SQEP.
Actively progress development of your knowledge of UUK assets, processes and business drivers.
What do you need to be great at this role?
Degree in relevant discipline-specific Engineering.
Associate member of a relevant engineering institute, and actively pursuing chartered status.
Good understanding of Engineering design processes in a heavily regulated industry.
Completion of Engineering-based graduate scheme (3-4 years) or equivalent, followed by demonstrable experience within a heavily regulated industry
