A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a MechanicalEngineer to join us on a prestigious contract in Kensington. This is a Monday - Friday opportunity working 08:00 -17:00.

Purpose:

As a Mechanical Engineer at Smart Managed Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions and critical building systems are maintained to the highest standard throughout.

To carry out minor installs, PPM tasks and reactive and breakdown works to all Mechanical systems within the site. Engineers must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of Calorifiers,Hot & Cold-Water Systems & large pipeworkwhich will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data.

Duties:

  • Calorifier/Hot water vessel annual servicing isolate, drain down clean & disinfect
  • Pump servicing & overhaul
  • Large pipework repairs on copper, plastic, and steel
  • AHU servicing, filter changes, actuator replacements & 2 & 3 port valve changes
  • Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists
  • Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made
  • These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items
  • Responsible forspares being available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times
  • A strong focus onthe provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To always include the wearing of uniform and PPE

Education and Training:

  • Formally trained in a mechanical engineering discipline (e.g.Plumbing) to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2
