Position: Procurement Coordinator

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday to Friday

Location: Speke

Role Overview:

As a Procurement Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain by placing and expediting purchase orders, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the Supply Chain Manager. You'll also manage pricing databases, contribute to tender preparation, and help drive supplier performance and relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales and Projects Teams to understand customer requirements and ensure accurate order placements.
  • Place timely orders with suppliers and manage project delays if required.
  • Create and maintain stock codes, supplier pricing files, and product databases.
  • Expedite orders and ensure effective communication on delivery timelines.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with supplier management and tenders.
  • Monitor and report on supplier spend and performance KPIs.
  • Benchmark pricing across the supply base to ensure competitive procurement.
  • Participate in supplier meetings and stock takes.
  • Support the implementation of SAP and other ad hoc duties as required.


What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a buying/procurement environment with a varied supply base.
  • Strong collaborative skills, able to work effectively across teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with product specifications for different business areas.
  • Experience using Great Plains for reporting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting supplier price lists for tenders.
