Amazing local Abingdon Primary School are looking to appoint a Learning support assistant, could this be you? Is your passion supporting children? Are you experienced working with children from childminding, an experienced nursery worker or perhaps a recent psychology graduate seeking first-hand experience with Primary schools?
The successful Learning Support Assistant will be supporting young children aged 5-11 with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and various other learning disabilities and mental health needs.

This fulfilling Learning support assistant involves:
Job type - Contract
Pay - £83.33 - £90 per day
Work-life balance working hours - 08:30am - 03:30pm (Monday - Friday - term time)
Great transport links to Abingdon - A34 and A420 for Faringdon, Wantage, Oxford and wider Oxfordshire and Swindon.
Behaviour monitoring- maintaining the students to preserve a calm learning environment for all in line with the schools guidance.
1 - 2 - 1 student support on various subjects on Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 curriculum from literacy, numeracy and phonics.
Comply with the Abingdon based school's policies and procedures, including data protection, health & safety and safeguarding.
Pastoral care - support to students with tools such as counselling, mentoring and advice
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience working with children, from afterschool clubs, nurseries or previous learning support assistants/teacher assistant roles.
Holding a solid understanding of the Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 curriculum - (preferred not essential).
A good team player, being able to collaborate and build relationships easy with colleagues, students, parents and guardians.
Having an empathetic ear, being able listen and approach student situations with a tactile nature to offer solutions to student concerns.How to apply?
