Exciting Career Opportunity: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bletchley, Buckinghamshire
Shifts: 4 on, 4 off - Days & Nights
Salary: £50,000 - £53,000 per annum
Are you a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer eager to take on a challenging and rewarding new role? Our client, a leading player in food production, is offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to join their team. This position will see you working with state-of-the-art production and packaging machinery within an environment that promotes innovation and high standards.
The Role
In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the optimal performance of cutting-edge production equipment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance: Carrying out both electrical and mechanical repairs to keep machinery operating at peak performance.
Fault Diagnosis: Quickly identifying and resolving faults, particularly on PLC systems.
Systems Expertise: Working with a variety of systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, and refrigeration units.
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Ensuring all maintenance schedules are adhered to and minimizing reactive maintenance needs.
Production Support: Providing vital support to the production team, helping reduce downtime and maintain smooth operations.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Strong Experience: A proven track record in electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally gained within the food production or manufacturing sector.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with PLC systems and experience working in a continuous improvement or PPM-focused environment.
Qualifications: A BTEC/ONC in electrical engineering, or alternatively, a time-served apprenticeship/HNC in electrical, mechanical, or production maintenance engineering.
A Proactive Approach: The ability to think quickly and respond effectively to breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption.age
