Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer: Our client, an innovative manufacturer based in South Yorkshire, seek to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop new and modify existing products and provide technical engineering support across the Group. Working for a market leading manufacturer this Mechanical Design Engineer role would suit a design graduate with two to three years' industry experience looking for more responsibility and career progression or an already experienced engineer.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Mechanical Engineering, CAD, Manufacturing

- Design and engineer products to uphold company best practices
- Ensure that new product designs and any cost reduction designs achieve the target cost price, required launch date, and meet and legislative criteria
- Maintain and create BOM, a product specification, and maintain the company ERP system
- Remain involved in whole lifecycle of a product: liaise with quality department through design process, support production teams during manufacture potentially training assembly operatives, and speak to suppliers/customers where necessary

Mechanical Design Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Mechanical Engineering, CAD, Manufacturing

- A mechanical engineering qualification
- Minimum of one years' experience, post University, of 3D modelling
- Great IT skills
