Job Description
Early Years Manager - Private Day Nursery, Wakefield
Are you an experienced Early Years Manager with a passion for leading a dedicated team and providing high-quality childcare? We are looking for an Early Years Manager to join our private day nursery in Wakefield, where you will oversee the day-to-day management of the setting and ensure the delivery of outstanding care and education to both funded and private children.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and motivate a team of early years practitioners to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
Oversee the smooth operation of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and high standards of care.
Develop, implement, and monitor the nursery's curriculum to meet the needs of all children.
Foster strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and well-being.
Manage staff performance, provide training, and support professional development to maintain a motivated and skilled team.
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for both staff and children.
Manage the nursery's financials, including budgeting, invoicing, and liaising with parents regarding fees.
Skills & Qualifications:
Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
Proven experience in managing a private nursery setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and safeguarding regulations.
Experience in managing both funded and private children's places.
A commitment to providing outstanding care and education, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for children and families.
Strong administrative and financial management skills.
