Scientific Project Coordinator (m/f/d) for Science Administration with a Focus on Lung Research
This position is part of the LOEWE Excellence Professorship "Internal Medicine, Infectiology, and Experimental Pneumology" at the Department of Medicine V at the Faculty of Medicine. The salary is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the State of Hessen (E 13 TV-H).
You will provide administrative support for the research projects of the LOEWE Excellence Professorship and coordinate the projects. The projects aim to develop new approaches for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of severe lung diseases.
Your tasks at a glance
Science Administration
Independent and self-dependent preparation of data, presentations, text modules, templates, and reports
Coordination between the involved scientists
Communication with funding organizations and their administrations, as well as with contact persons at the authorities involved
Job and personnel planning
Monitoring compliance with the budget/financial plan
Coordination of the content of funding applications
Contribution to the preparation of final reports
Obtaining ethical approvals
Organization of seminars, conferences, and workshops, including communication with speakers and guest scientists
Organization of public relations and scientific communication, including independent preparation of press releases, writing content for the website and social media
Your qualifications and competences
A scientific university degree (master or equivalent degree), preferably in natural sciences or medicine/veterinary medicine
Knowledge of the research landscape in medical research and experience in "good scientific practice"
Knowledge of science management and the preparation of research proposals
Excellent computer skills (word processing, image editing, content management systems) and experience in experimental or administrative research work, preferably in the field of lung or infectious disease research.
Excellent English language skills, German language skills are advantageous
A high level of responsibility and the ability to work independently
Flexibility, commitment, and organizational skills
Experience in scientific writing and science communication is desirable
