Night Support Mentor

Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you want to make a difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a Night Support Mentor in Kensington and Chelsea to support 10 people currently rough sleeping. This project is part of the government’s End Rough Sleeping for Good strategy. You’ll provide trauma-informed support, helping people stay safe, make positive changes, and move forward. You’ll also work closely with the council and outreach teams.
RBKC Services: We help people with challenges like mental health, homelessness, and substance use. Our support focuses on care, trust, and helping people rebuild their lives.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a 7-day rota, including night and late shifts over a 6-week cycle. This is within a 24/7 service providing face-to-face support.

You will love this role if you are compassionate, patient, and enjoy helping people make positive changes in their lives. It’s ideal for someone who can work flexibly at night, communicate well with others, and is motivated to support people overcoming homelessness and other challenges.
What are we looking for?
* Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
* Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
* Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
* Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
