Essex based company seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This company specialises in the design and assembly of highly complex automated machinery. As a key member of the team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence and innovation of products.

£30k - £40k + Pension, Healthcare, Flexitime

Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role:
⦁ Producing mechanical design/drawings for systems and equipment
⦁ Generating & maintaining existing mechanical Layout, Enclosure, Conveyor, Ductwork, Jigs & Fixture drawings
⦁ Producing supporting documentation – BOMs, Schematics, Schedules, Sub Assembly darwings, etc.
⦁ Assisting with other tasks within the Drawing Office Department ie: site surveys
⦁ Manage version control using AutoDesk Vault Data Management software
Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person:
⦁ Familiarity within an automated production machinery environment
⦁ Experience of 2D & 3D CAD – AutoCAD, Inventor desirable but can consider other packages such as Solidworks
⦁ Understanding of technical and safety standards such as BS 8888, ATEX
⦁ Recognised engineering certification/apprenticeship
⦁ Good understanding of conveyor, airflow, ductwork designs and calculations
Located in Essex, this role would be commutable from Southend-on-Sea, Chelmsford, Billericay, and Tilbury.
Role would be suitable if you have experience or interest in roles such as Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Design Engineer, or Engineering Technician, this Mechanical Design role could be the perfect fit for you.
