Job Description
This is an important role, which will require a sound knowledge of all the Company’s services, as well as the drive, commercial skills and technical credibility to build significant customer relationships and partnerships, in all Industries around Automotive and Mobility services, to support the quotation, administrative support and project coordination of Mobility projects, working closely with German and Czech colleagues initially. The role will evolve as the UK business grows becoming more focussed upon self delivery for the UK market. This is a home based role with the option to operate in a hybrid capacity from appropriate TUV SUD offices with some visits to clients. It may also involve occasional foreign travel.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Working closely with all Business development Managers to identify and win new customers and convert them into key accounts. Support field based colleagues as they prospect for potential new clients and convert opportunities into increased business.
* Identify opportunities for campaigns and services that will lead to an increase in customers, orders, and sales including developing pricing strategies.
* Support client development through operational engagement to grow, maintain and leverage your network and build relationships and partnerships with new contacts.
* Collaborating closely with the European Mobility team to support bids, tenders and proposals.
* Support UK & Northern Europe sales team members in providing quotations to customers.
* Building and maintaining a strong network within the industry.
* Experienced contact person for customer orders and link between the technical experts and order managers/project managers from the Mobility Industry - Global Homologation Service (GHS) area to the areas of sales, invoicing, accounting, controlling and purchasing.
* Order management: The UK business in planning to develop a domestic team of engineers to self deliver within the market. This role will support the preparation of order systems and participation in order calculation. Continuous preparation of invoicing, taking into account the closing dates. Procurement of work equipment and services. Ensuring the correct accounting of hours and costs on order. Collaboration in the preparation and processing of invoices, invoice complaints and credit notes. Obtaining and documenting all necessary approvals. It is anticipated that the sales and project team will grow to meet capacity demands within this area of responsibility.
* Support in receivables management and internal ICS audits
* Carrying out transfers between cost centres
* Support with organizational tasks
* Commercial order monitoring and recognizing and uncovering opportunities and risks
* Implementation/further development/optimization of work processes in the area of order management
* Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on markets and trends as appropriate to the role.
Person Specification/Key Competencies:
* Experience within the Automotive / Homologation or Testing, Inspection and certification industry
* A commercial apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience and in-depth knowledge of the commercial performance process
* Strong teamwork and communication skills, combined with high organizational skills
* Service-oriented and enjoy administrative tasks
* Independent and structured way of working
* Confident handling of MS Office and related software applications. Experience in dealing with common TÜV SÜD applications is advantageous (e.g. SAP C11, SAP SD, SAP BW, MyBuy, YAMBS)
* Technically credible and able to assimilate and respond to clients’ compliance challenges.
* Engineering background and qualifications.
* First-hand experience of compliance testing, certification or assessments
* Interest in building good working partnerships with German, Czech or Spanish colleagues
