Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Pipe Fitter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and installing large pipes and flow meters as well as maintaining mechanical systems and equipment used in our engineering projects. This role requires a hands-on professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assembling, fitting, and installing pipelines, pipe flanges up to 12 inches, flowmeters and mechanical components & systems according to engineering specifications and drawings.
* Performing routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborating with engineers and technicians to develop and improve mechanical systems and pipework for testing systems.
* Conducting inspections and tests to verify the functionality and integrity of mechanical assemblies, pipelines and flowmeters.
* Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
* Documenting all work performed, including maintenance logs and inspection reports.
* Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience as an Engineering Pipe Fitter or similar role in a mechanical engineering environment.
* Apprenticeship or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, flanges, valves, tools, and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations in an engineering context.
