Job Description

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Renewals Programme Manager - Rail to join our dynamic AIW/IM team at Treforest - Hybrid working role.

In this role, you will lead the Renewals team by managing the development and delivery of all packages of Multidisciplinary asset renewals works. You will review and enable the efficient delivery of the renewals work bank as approved by TFW (the client) within the CVL (Core Valley Lines) network adhering to the renewal authority process and lead the development of a programme of work supporting successful project delivery through effective integration of Planning. You will be responsible for cost management and risk & value management activities in relation to renewals delivery, driving improved predictability and delivery of efficiencies through effective project performance measurement, evaluation and intervention activities.

This role offers you the unique opportunity to work on the core valley lines - currently the biggest investment for transport infrastructure in Wales, undergoing transformation of the services provided.

What You'll Do:
Take on a leadership role in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including design, environmental, consents, commercial, procurement, estimating, programme controls, engineering, survey, construction, health and safety, and others, to identify and deliver solutions that meet client requirements and establish robust plans.
Lead the constructability input into the design process to ensure the safe buildability of the renewals work bank.
Head the production of the delivery schedule to drive requirements and align with the broader engineering access and consents strategy.
Challenge all aspects of project/programme performance to determine the causes of variances from the plan.
Formulate corrective action plans, lead discussions with Programme Team members, confirm the plans' suitability, and monitor their effective implementation.
Manage the implementation and updating of resource allocation plans necessary for the delivery of the work bank, including the identification and management of critical resource requirements. Why Join Us?
